Dear Walk Leaders

At the February 2009 committee meeting we reached decisions on two issues that affect Walk Leaders in the future.  The first was the need to report incidents on walks to the Ramblers Central Office (CO); and the second was the adoption of the Ramblers Grading of Walks

 

Reporting Incidents . 

Fortunately considering the many thousands that take part in rambles each weekend very few incidents occur.  In the past the Ramblers CO have only asked for Major Incidents to be reported; but about a year ago they extended this to all incidents.  The reason was to get a better understanding of the problems that occur on rambles and learn lessons that could be feedback to others in the form of guidance and training.

 

In the unlikely event that an incident occurs on one of your walks CO asks that you complete one of their report forms, To obtain a copy of the form click on the pdf icon below.  You can send this to Mike Bailey, as we currently do not have a Secretary, and he will ensure it is passed onto Central Office.
